UPDATE: Park51 had just tweeted to BatteryParkCity.com that they are seeking funding from the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation.

  1. To be honest, I’m not entirely satisfied with the answers provided by Park51. This issue has brought a lot of negativity into our neighborhood, and it pains me that anyone who is even slightly against the idea of Park51 is being labeled as a prejudiced hater. I think that makes it very difficult for all of us who live here in BPC and remember and mourn what happened to our neighborhood to this day.
